Frankel Remains Unbeaten

Frankel enhanced his reputation as one of the best race horses ever today as he took his tally to 13 wins in what has been a perfect career at the Juddmonte International Stakes at York.

There had been some doubts amongst some as to whether the highest-rated thoroughbred in the world would be able to continue his dominance in this meeting as it was over ten furlongs instead of a mile, which was the distance where he has had success in the past.

But, if anything Frankel looked even stronger over this distance as it gave him more time to move further away from the pack – it was a quite simply stunning performance.

The race was won by seven lengths in the end, something the Horse racing betting odds were offering at least some value on!

The rest of the pack all went out quickly but Frankel ended up storming to victory, with some pundits describing it as his most breathtaking and impress performance to date.

Jockey Tom Queally was quite clearly delighted to have been involved in such a historic day in the world of Horse Racing news.

Queally said: “I suspected they’d go a good gallop, but we had our plan in place. It panned out nicely – he won ever so well. It’s a fantastic training performance.”

“I gave them enough of a lead for the pace we were going and he won ever so well. He’s certainly as good (over a mile and a quarter as a mile).

“Every man and his dog seemed to want to put their penny’s worth in to say where he should run, but to run him in the owner’s race and for him to make it 13 out of 13 speaks for itself. I’m delighted to be a part of it.”

These heroics also saw an emotional return to the track for Sir Henry Cecil, who has been fighting a battle with cancer and he said: “That was great, wasn’t it?

“It’s fantastic. It’s great for Yorkshire, they are very supportive of racing and they deserve to see him.”

The trainer was then asked how the result made him feel and he answered: “Twenty years better.”
