Is The Premier League A One Horse Race?

The majority of the bookies seem to have decided that the race for the Premier league title is over and Manchester United have won with Manchester City taking the runners up spot, at the moment Paddy Power are offering 2/1 on City to win the title.

Those of us who have been around for a few season’s know that the bookies are often wrong and that the beauty of football’s is the games ability to throw up a surprise or two. Manchester City are a team full of quality and Mancini has proved that he can take a hopeless situation and turn it to his advantage, last season’s results are proof of that.

Which other teams are likely to be chasing the top two teams?, well Chelsea are the obvious choice, it looks likely Rafa will be off loading a couple of players in the January window and you can bet he will be looking for re enforcements, my gut feeling is Chelsea will be causing some upsets in the near future. Now could be a good time to get a bet on them, Paddy Power are currently offering 14/1 on Chelsea to win the Premier League or if you fancy a real long shot they have Tottenham at 100/1.

Arsenal are having a bit of the old ‘up and down’ at the moment but there is no doubt Arsene Wenger knows his game and he is building a great team at the Emirates, 5 British players signed long term contracts this week and at 66/1 the Gunners can’t be a bad outside bet.

Paddy Power Bookmakers have a wide range of bets on the final standings of all Premier League teams, along with weekly specials on the big games. Bet just £10 with Paddy Power and you’ll get a free £20 bet.
